How to Install geoipupdate software package in Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus)

geoipupdate software package provides MaxMind GeoIP/GeoIP2 database updates, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install geoipupdate 

geoipupdate is installed in your system.

Make ensure the geoipupdate package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep geoipupdate *

You will get with geoipupdate package name, version, architecture and description in a table
